I hope you all had a great Christmas! Mine was busy, but filled with so many great memories! Thankfully, I still have another week off of work to unwind from the holiday rush. I’m really looking forward to some good R&R. One of the last things I did before going on break was attending my Kindergarten student’s musical. I wanted to look festive and professional and ended up wearing this fun outfit. I think it would be totally appropriate for a holiday business party too!
I’m not typically a huge fan of sequins. In fact, this is the only sequined item I own! If you’re worried it’s too much for you, it’s not! The trick is to tone it down with another piece. By adding a jacket or a structured blazer, that extra touch of sparkle will look extremely sophisticated and festive, without going overboard.
Now let’s talk about palazzo pants for a second. I used to think I wouldn’t look good in them. That is, until I tried them on one day just for fun in a dressing room. And guess what? I loved them! They gave my legs so much length, are very comfortable and flow so nicely. With some heels and a hemline that glides on the floor, you’ll love the length they give you too!
Finally, I want to share my favorite part of this outfit — the most perfect lip color I’ve ever found! I have been looking for the perfect red lip color for a while. I ended up walking into Ulta one day and literally tested about 14 different colors before coming to this one. I ended up buying Lipstick Queen Sinner Scarlet Red. I’ve been looking for the perfect red lip for a while and this has it all for me. The color, the texture, the shine. Everything is spot on and I couldn’t recommend a better one!
