The verdict is in and I plead guilty: I’m addicted to wearing heels. I know it’s not the best thing for my feet, but you can likely find me walking around in heels any day of the week. Unless I’m wearing some boots and hiking in the lush green mountains of the Pacific Northwest (more on that story later) I am a high-heels kind of girl! Although it’s true I love wearing heels, they aren’t always the most comfortable (am I right?!) When AirPufs approached me to review their product, I was ecstatic to have the opportunity to see if their fun insoles really made a difference. Not only am I sharing my honest review, but I’m leaving you with a little personal story about persevering through life’s circumstances.
What I love about AirPufs
Comfort
I was pleasantly surprised to find out how “thin” they are. Even in my most slender pair of heels there was no cramming them in, which always seems to happen when I wear insoles. Not only are AirPufs thin, but they are cushy and shock absorbing. No promises that they will magically make your feet never hurt, but they were able to give me the extra cushion I love and prolonged the time I was able to wear heels. I can see how they earned the slogan Walking on Clouds.
Adorable designs
To be honest, I would wear these even if they didn’t make a difference on comfort, because of their many fun prints and patterns. There’s just something about taking my heels off at a friend’s house, and feeling excited to show off the adorable insoles. Definitely no more embarrassment from ugly wear and tear. Between pineapples, flowers, and watermelon there are so many to choose from.
Removable
It’s true they are removable but honestly, multiple removals will cause the adhesive to wear down. I get around that by putting them in my favorite pair of black heels that I wear the most often. I’ve finally found a way to transform a pair of heels I loved, to a pair that I’m obsessed with.
Not just for heels
So I may be a heels kind of gal, but not everyone is! These insoles will definitely work in flats too, giving your feet extra cushion from standing on them all day. I will definitely be wearing these on the days I substitute teach.
Price
It’s true, I’ve paid less for insoles. At $16 you might think it’s a little pricey, but with such cute designs I already am willing to pay a little extra. And as always, because I want you to leave with a smile on your face, I offer you some tips to keep walking on clouds through all the trials life brings you.
- Take it one step at a time
This weekend, I took off my heels and went hiking on Mount Pilchuck. I wasn’t feeling well, but decided to go anyway. I knew it would be good for me and I would be able to practice pushing through even when it’s tough. That’s exactly what I did! The hard work paid off and I proudly made it to the top. No matter what you’re feeling, taking life’s trials one step at a time is often the best thing you can do! - Never give up
Turns out, my moments of dizziness on the way up was nothing compared to what I encountered on the way down. Shortly after summit we headed down. We knew we would be traveling in the dark, but that was OK because we were prepared with headlamps. Unfortunately, on the way down my foot slipped on a muddy rock and I managed to land perfectly on top of my wrist. At the time I didn’t know it was fractured, but I knew it was bad. With the expertise of an EMT and a certified Wilderness First Aid responder, they made a splint for me. Despite the pain I was in, I kept going. Giving up is not an option! - Focus on others
Any opportunity to help someone else I am all about it. As we traveled down in the dark, we noticed two girls who were traveling without any kind of lights. They may have figured they would be down before dark or that they could use their phones, but in the mountains you always have to be prepared. Thankfully, my friends and I had headlamps and were able to walk behind them so that their footsteps could be lit. It is incredible how focusing on others helps you keep your mind off of your own problems! - Keep smiling
Despite it not being the best of circumstances, I found reasons to smile. Not only was I thankful that the broken wrist was my only injury, I was thankful for the opportunity to practice perseverance. There’s always something to smile about if you choose to look for it!

These insoles were really pretty, something other insoles are not… And to think what an adventure you’ve been through, you literally climbed a mountain, had some hardships on the way, but still made it through with a smile on your face! I love that about you, you’re always so positive! 🙂 Hope the fracture is healing fast!
