The Only Two Colors Your Wardrobe Needs

With summer in full swing you think I’d be wearing bright colors but I’ve been finding myself wearing a lot more neutrals lately. Mainly, black and white. Don’t get me wrong, I love to wear bright colors to add some sass to an outfit but between Little White Dresses and Little Black Dresses, I continue my love affair with black and white. My latest finds from HER Boutique are no exception to this obsession. This is one color combination that you can never go wrong with. There was a time when the majority of my wardrobe only consisted of black and white, and even now I keep purchasing these two colors to extend my wardrobe. Will I stop? Probably not. Today I’m sharing why black and white are the only two colors your wardrobe needs.

It’s an incredibly easy combination to default to, especially when you aren’t in the mood for other colors. Black and white also is extremely versatile and goes with anything. I mean anything! It’s the easiest way to mix and match. I know I’ll be wearing this chic top from HER Boutique straight into fall with either a moto jacket, black leather leggings or a midi pencil skirt. There’s so many options with black and white and that keeps my wardrobe and deciding what to wear so simple!Black and White Sophisticated Street Chic Outfit | HerBoutique.com

Sophistication

Wearing black and white will always be a classic, something that definitely adds to the overall sophisticated feel of the look. There are certainly no rules in fashion, but there is no doubt that neutrals will always elevate your look. Because of this, my goal is to always invest the most in black and white pieces. With the addition of classic black and white pieces, I will be ready to create a timeless and sophisticated look for any occasion!

Contrast

I love wearing all black and all white just as much as the next girl, but the sharp contrast of black and white is definitely my favorite. I love this aspect because it creates visual drama and excitement. I am all about giving the impression of being confident and bold, while still remaining classic and timeless. Black and white paired together successfully creates this look.

Unfortunately I can’t wear too much black because I’m thing and a black based outfit would make me look even thinner. Although I love the colour: it’s elegant, simple and practical.

Oh girl I feel you on that! It’s all about getting creative with new ways to wear black without it overwhelming your figure!

Personally, I like the middle-man GREY for a neutral (and even navy) because it isn’t as drastic of a neural. BUT, there are definitely occasions where I like the sharp contrast of black and white. It just depends 🙂

I agree, it’s all about the occasion. Grey and navy are both extremely classy neutrals as well!
