Summer weddings are my absolute favorite! The sunshine gives a warm glow which immediately makes you look fantastic, and the heat calls for light and flowing attire. I am clearly a big fan of both! Summer always brings out the bright colors and florals in my closet, and for a summer wedding, it is a great opportunity to bring out those romantic florals.
My go to wedding outfit this season is a high waisted maxi skirt by Kora Rae, whose brilliant fabric choice of crepe de chine is so delicate it makes me feel so graceful. The gorgeous print of bright popping flowers and stunning purple hues immediately drew me to this skirt. Not to mention the dreamy flow of the fabric, fitted silhouette and attractive slit on the side.
For the top I went with black. Black doesn’t have to be boring and is perfectly acceptable for a wedding when paired with vibrant florals. This sleeveless, textured top from H&M was a completely affordable option to style with the luxurious skirt. Sleeveless tops are great options for the heat during summer weddings. I showcased the skirt by featuring all the beautiful colors and black pulls out the center of the flowers without taking away attention from this incredible skirt.
I kept the accessories simple with a delicate silver necklace and purple glass earrings I purchased at a farmers market. The yellow clutch added the perfect pop of color to match the yellow tones in the skirt. Finally, I finished up the outfit with my favorite Steve Madden heeled sandals which are so sleek to pair perfectly with the romantic look.
What’s your go to outfit for a summer wedding? I’d love to hear!
