Summer is finally in full swing in Seattle and with the warm sunshine and breathtaking Pacific Northwest views, my wardrobe is in serious need of some fresh summer clothes to accompany the summer fun. Every year, I indulge just a bit with a summer fashion spree around the 4th of July. Not only are there many great sales going on for summer fashion, but let’s face it, July is when summer really starts in Seattle.
Take this guide as your summer guide to shopping online. I’ve got my best shopping tips, great sales this weekend with some extending later in the month, as well as all my favorite places to shop including my favorites picks for the summer. I hope you can escape a few moments to yourself this holiday for a bit of shopping, but let’s never forget the historical significance of this day and how extremely fortunate we are to live in this country.
Tips for shopping sales & online:
- Don’t get caught up on the word SALE. Just because it says “sale” or “savings” doesn’t always mean it’s going to be a good deal. This is why it’s important to do your own research and study price point that is best for your budget. There are so many amazing sales out there, but it’s important to look for the best ones — I hope I can help a bit with that today!
- Shop around. Take time to look for the best deals and don’t get caught up on just one website. I also research shipping costs, and read on return policies to make sure that online shopping is truly beneficial to me.
- Look for form, function, quality, and comfort. We can definitely all be tempted by the things that look pretty, but it’s also helpful to examine other factors that will make this an item you will love and wear regularly. A good deal can be great, but if the quality is not there it’s not worth it in the long run. The same goes for comfort and fit!
- If you’re not 100% in love with it, don’t buy it! This may seem obvious at first, but trust me… I’ve purchased too many things in my life-time just because I thought I was getting a good deal instead of truly loving it. This only ended up in a waste of money because it was something I couldn’t return and didn’t become something I regularly wore.
