Hi beautiful friends! Although fall is well underway, the weather hasn’t quite turned to a complete fall chill that we normally get here in Seattle. I haven’t put away all of my summer dresses yet, nor have I wanted to. I am a firm believer that there are many ways to make summer dresses work in the fall. When the opportunity came to have brunch on a cool morning I jumped at the chance to wear a summer dress. I took a casual blue dress and paired it with a light chambray shirt to complete the look with a fall twist.
Don’t be intimidated by bright colors in the fall. You can still pull them off! With a bright dress like this, you’ll want soft neutral colors to tone down the look.
I rolled the sleeves the J. Crew way (comment below if you’d like to see a tutorial on how to do this). I also accessorized the look with gold accessories, which I think is perfect for the fall transition!
If you have a summer dress you can’t seem to let go of yet, try throwing on a chambray shirt (or even a plaid shirt) and watch the look take you straight into fall. You can even try tying it in front or tuck it into a skirt! It will be worth the extra wear out of those dresses!
This blue looks amazing on you! I love how are putting a fall twist into your summer wardrobe! I am drooling over your shoes!
Hope you are feeling better girl!

Thanks, Shell! I am beginning to feel better so thatโs a good sign! These shoes are super simple, but I have always loved a simple shoe thatโs classic. And this shoe goes with EVERYTHING!
