Today I’m sharing with you a color combination I’m absolutely in love with — baby blue and powdery pink. Everything about this pairing is so elegant and feminine and the perfect winter pick-me-up. Similar to Pantone’s colors of the year (serenity and rose quartz) this light wash denim and pale pink sweater is such a lovely option to brighten up dull winter days. I definitely refuse to be stuck in all blacks or grays in the winter.
When I was younger I strictly followed the “rules” for fashion. I thought that pastels could only be worn in the spring time, and white had to stop being worn after Labor Day. It wasn’t until I started embracing that there are no rules to fashion that I felt much more myself to wear whatever color I find suitable all year long! Total game changer.
To me this sweater is winter layering at its finest. Short sleeve sweaters are fun to wear but not always practical to have bare arms in the middle of winter. My solution? Layer with a long sleeve white t-shirt underneath. If you don’t have one, get one! It’s definitely a closet essential. I have one in both crew neck and v-neck as well as in black too! You’d be surprised how many ways I can find to wear it.
And these gloves? My husband calls them my Downton Abbey gloves, I call them my try not to get dirty gloves. Whatever you call them I find them ultra darling! I don’t know how, but I seem to find the cutest bows. I can’t live without them!
