In case you missed part one of this post, I went for a city chic winter outfit and played with gray and whites. It focused on the outer cold weather accessories for staying warm and looking chic doing it! However, when putting together an outfit for the winter, what’s underneath is just as important as what’s on the outside. It’s all about layering my friends! You may or may not find it surprising but I wanted to stick with the same monochromatic tones to create my outfit for the indoors. Maybe I was in the white and gray mood that day, but it was exactly what I needed for creating that sophisticated look.
When going with a monochromatic look, the best piece of advice I can give to you is break it up! Add patterns, a subtle splash of color, a mix of textures, or another element of surprise. For this outfit, I chose to add a moto jacket and pair it with sparkles and delicate bow gloves for some edgy chic vibes.
Keeping a white shirt on top of the jeans gave extra length to my figure. By adding a structured faux-leather jacket, I was not only able to add edginess that complemented the distressed jeans but also add some much needed structure to the outfit.
Still deciding on the dress I’m going to wear to a masquerade party tomorrow. Check out the choices on my Twitter and vote your favorite! Thank you!
