Fall Transition

It’s only the third day of fall, which means the fall weather has not kicked into full gear yet! Here in Seattle we have been having cooler mornings, which I need a light jacket for, but the afternoons have been quite warm still — except for today, which rained. Go figure. With fall on my mind I brought out this skirt that has a gorgeous plum color that just says, “FALL is here!” This skirt is so easy to dress up or down and transition through the seasons. The skirt and wedges are perfect to match the warm weather, and the soft neutral tones and plum color brings out the essence of fall. It’s the perfect option for looking like fall when the weather is still making up its mind what it wants to be!

Can we just talk about this skirt for a second? I got it from Madewell last  year and am still loving it. It is part viscose, part silk and is the softest most comfortable skirt I have ever owned. Plus it comes with pockets! Wearing it to teach in is amazing, because of how comfortable I am in it ALL day!

If you don’t have a skirt with pockets you need to try it! I know it doesn’t seem like much, but as a girl wearing jeans I never really have large comfortable pockets to fit my hands inside. It is definitely a comforting feeling! And of course it works great when you have to take away little mini distractions while I’m teaching Kindergarten, haha!

My jewelry is a mix of Kendra Scott and Forever 21, which I love because it definitely shows the splurge vs steal. Maybe you can guess, which is which. 😉 Both have this iridescent gem stone feel to it and brought balance to the gorgeous purple and creams in my outfit.

A look is never complete without the shoes and these shoes stole my heart the moment I saw them! A nude wedge is a closet staple and I know these wedges will carry me through many more outfits! They are a recent find, so I will unfortunately be putting them away soon until it is sandal weather again. The great news is it will be like a new shoe all over again come spring!
