What does a fashion blogger do to ring in her 27th birthday in style? Stay at the only waterfront hotel on Lake Washington of course! After many days of rain, the sun began to peak out and it was a glorious weekend birthday adventure staying at the 4-star Woodmark Hotel! The Woodmark Hotel is a chic boutique hotel and a prime spot for great views on the waterfront. Lucky for me, it was just a short drive across the bridge from Seattle, but staycation or not, it’s still a vacation and I loved every second of it! CONTINUE READING
Two weeks ago, three other Seattle bloggers and I had the wonderful opportunity to escape our little city and head north to Vancouver, Canada. Although it’s only a short three-hour trip for us Seattleites, I had only visited Vancouver once in the past. However, I wasn’t there long enough to discover the hidden gem of Robson Street in the heart of downtown Vancouver. After spending a girls weekend on Robson Street with Molly’s Musings, Sort of Style and Black White And Brunette, I now know why tourists, celebrities, and locals are drawn to this historical street. Think of Robson Street as the Rodeo Drive of Vancouver, with three blocks of amazing shopping and fabulous dining. What more could four fashionistas ask for?! Today I’m giving you our full itinerary with insider’s tips that will hopefully give you some inspiration to plan your next getaway on Robson.
Today is Tip Tuesday and I wanted to share how I did the impossible – going on a nine-day vacation with only two purses. I hate packing for vacations. I always want to pack way too much! For my trip last week I took a road trip from Seattle, WA to Los Angeles, CA. I was determined to plan better and not pack as much.
My tip for packing – Plan your outfits around your handbags.
On a nine day road trip from Seattle to Los Angeles, I had to wonderful opportunity to stop in Napa Valley. Staying two nights there in the quaint little town of Calistoga, my dream came true as we visited an Italian castle! The tour of this castle was an amazing experience and made me feel like I was walking around in Tuscany. If you ever find yourself in this area, this is a must see destination! Naturally, while I was there I had the chance to take a few pictures of my Lulu’s maxi dress and Kate Spade Purse. As I casually propped my purse on the table to get it in the shot, people must have been wondering why I cared so much. It’s all for the love of fashion! And it is only slightly ironic the castle name is translated to “Castle of Love.”
