As the leaves begin to change colors and the weather begins to bring that cool evening breeze, I am already thinking about fall fashion. I love pulling in those transitional pieces that shout summer and fall in one outfit. But what about those items that are not considered seasonal? Out of any of the items in my wardrobe, I like to make the most out of what I wear by investing in pieces that are must-haves all year long. The pieces that can be worn any time of year and mixed into my seasonal wear will always be my top priority. 1. A dress that makes you feel great.
I’ve found a fit of dress that is amazing, and it’s a sheath dress like this one right here. I love the way it accentuates a feminine waistline. My mom, who has a completely different body type than me happens to look AMAZING in sheath dresses too. She’ll be the first to admit, “Sheath dresses are just my thing.” Trust me when I say you can pull it off too. With various options of fabrics, necklines, lengths, and sleeves on a sheath dress, you can be sure to find one that makes you feel great. What is awesome about this dress is it’s stretchy and flaunts my shape in an extremely classy matter. If you know me, you know I’m all about staying classy and fabulous — thank you Coco Chanel! The zipper down of the back of this dress gives it just enough intriguing details to make it irresistible!
2. A black hands-free bag for every day.
We could have just left it at “black bag,” but who doesn’t love being hands free with a cross body purse?! Whether I’m out shopping or running errands I love a bag that’s accessible right at my side. I know what you’re thinking—“A mini-bag really? That’s not big enough to hold all my essentials!” I used to think the same until I tried out this latest trend. There’s something completely freeing about forcing myself to only carry one lipstick, instead of the dozens I normally haul around. No better way to embrace the minimalist mentality than by getting a chic bag that allows you to embrace it in full force! But you don’t have to take my word for it. I know there’s always a black bag for every girl regardless of the size. I’ve already received tons of compliments on this black bag, because it has the most adorable bow featured on the front. Kate Spade or not, bows on bags will get me every time.
3. A black pair of heels.
I almost called number three “a pair of heels for dancing” because let’s be honest every girl needs those pair of heels that they can dance the night away in. A black heel is instantly the classic shoe to wear to weddings. No more bare feet on the dance floor, ladies! Not only are these heels an amazing deal, they are extremely comfortable; an essential for dancing in. Black is the neutral that will without a doubt go with I’m not going to lie, I have probably at least 10 pair of “plain” black heels, but that’s because they are my go-to. There’s no reason to not pick up another pair especially when you find one with fun patterns like these! They remind me of my teaching days where I would play with fun-cut-scissors all day long. There’s always something to smile about!
