2016 was certainly one for the books! As I reflect on what the year was for me, one word in particular comes to mind — fearless. I learned many valuable lessons this year and almost all of them revolved around being fearless. I had to learn to be fearless in my work, my mindset, my relationships, my decisions and my life overall. I’ve conquered many battles, made it through situations I never thought I had the capability of overcoming, and came out stronger on the other side. As I recall the wonderful things that happened to me in 2016, I share them with you. More than just my accomplishments, these are lessons learned — which we all know to be an accomplishment in and of itself.CONTINUE READING
I’ve seen it repeatedly in my own life in one of two ways. Either I’m going through tough trials and a friend later finds out the pain I was in, or I’m the one witnessing it in another and think to myself later, “I wish I knew then what I know now.”
I remember this vividly happening during a blogging event right after my husband filed for divorce. Clearly, I was devastated and going through something no one should have to bear alone, but I decided to put on my brave face and try my best to show up and be present. Although I was there and doing my best to smile, I can admit I just wasn’t myself. I was on the verge of tears at any moment and probably appeared unfriendly to people. One of my very good friends now didn’t know me that well and thought I didn’t like her at the time. After becoming friends and finding out later the details behind that awkward first meeting, she came to me later saying “if I only knew…” The truth is, you never really know what someone is going through.
With Christmas just around the corner, I am reminded how quickly this year has flown by. It’s been a beautiful year, with many unexpected twists and turns. Overall, I remain blessed at the thought that my goal of making 2016 better than ever has stayed true. This has been a year that I have discovered more about myself than I ever thought possible and taken each challenge head on. 2016 has taught me to keep pursuing my dreams no matter how tough it gets. Today I’m sharing with you three ways to take your dreams and create resolutions that will become a reality as well as ten New Year’s looks you can get 20% off of by using my code MISSMOLLY20 at HER. I just spent the last twenty minutes literally staring at my computer screen. You know that post I recently wrote on tips for staying motivated when you lack it? Yeah, that would be me right now needing to read it. Again. In my moments of feeling down and mostly out of it because of a flu bug I caught this week, I managed to pick up my phone. You may have guessed I was browsing Instagram. I saw a post from the beautiful Inspiration Indulgence, who in between her moments of always inspiring and lifting up her readers also feels like she has been “stuck.” I applaud her for being so real and open with her followers and have major respect for her doing what’s not always comfortable. It brought to mind something that even I find it hard to admit — it’s OK to not be OK all the time.
Seven months ago I had the amazing opportunity to collaborate with Everly and create a Style Miss Molly ring collection to inspire all. It immediately became my heart that this collection becomes more than just jewelry. I wanted each woman who wears these rings to know that they are beautiful, confident, and can face any challenge with a smile. Choosing to fuse the endless beauty of these enchanting rings with the encouragement and positivity that so many women need I created this ring collection with you in mind. Today I’m sharing with you code SMMHOLIDAY to get 25% off my rings, a giveaway for you to win a ring for you or a friend, and the true inspiration behind the positive names of each of my rings. I hope you love it as much as I am passionate about it!
